Your operating system

Something I read in today’s Monday Morning Memo from the Wizard of Ads, Roy Williams, made me think and wonder. Isn’t that why we read?

Borrowing a couple of popular and well understood tech terms, “operating system” and “applications”, I see how these two concepts can be easily applied to how we live and behave.

So, I’m wondering, how would I describe my operating system? Structured, good foundation, robust, reliable, updateable, repairable, shareable, current, helpful, useful, always on? For the most part, I would say yes, my operating system functions quite well.

The next question is, does my operating system perform well enough to support and run applications? There is always room for improvement but yes I can perform tasks and be productive and have fun and be useful to others because my operating system supports these ‘apps’.

The last question is, am I downloadable? Would others see enough value to want what I offer?

Interesting questions! Is your operating system running smoothly? Are your apps free?
